Late talking is not always a problem — but some signs are worth checking early. A gentle guide for parents.
Children develop language at different speeds, and a quiet toddler is not always a cause for concern. However, some patterns are worth checking early: no words by 18 months, loss of words previously used, or difficulty being understood by age three.
Early support often means shorter therapy and less frustration for everyone. If you are unsure, a brief screening can give you clarity without committing to a long programme.
